  CBBC's Newsround, released the results of a survey to mark its 35th birthday - research conducted by ChildWise, interviewing 1000 children aged 6-12.  To see the results click here  
 
 

The Year of Food and Farming - Sept 2007 - Sept 2008  
September 2007 heralded the start of the Year of Food and Farming within all English schools.  It aims to give children and young people hands on learning experiences through farm visits, and a chance to grow and cook or prepare food.  ChildWise was pleased to be involved earlier in the year with the campaign, conducting extensive exploratory research, with primary and secondary school children, plus research with 7-14 year olds into potential campaign designs. Juices and Soft Drinks Conference 2007  
Rosemary Duff, ChildWise Research Director, spoke at the Juices and Soft Drinks conference in April 2007.  Her presentation focused on Young Consumers - what motivates them and how best to reach them.

  CBBC Newsround Christmas 2006 Survey  
  In November 2006, we conducted a survey for BBC Newsround asking 1,063 7-11 year olds children, across the UK, their views on Christmas.  Some of the results of the survey can be found on the main Newsround website, to see it click here, as well as being shown on other websites including GMTV  
 
 
  Website Research - Filmstreet

  Looking in detail at Children's use of the Internet  
  Data from our 2005-06 Monitor Report highlights the increasing importance of the Internet in children's lives today.  Not only are children disadvantaged educationally if they do not have easy access to the Internet they are also disadvantaged socially, as more leisure pursuits shift online.  This article looks at the numbers of children browsing the Internet, dividing them into key subgroups, as well as evaluating the types of online activities and websites that children enjoy.  To read the complete article please click here.
