Children's Internet Use Forum
This forum is all about Internet use amongst children, and you have been asked to take part because you have children aged up to 16 who use the Internet.
We will be using some of the ideas and quotes from the forum to help us with a report on how technology (especially the Internet) shapes children’s lives as they grow, due to be published later this year.
Click here to register on the forum, it’s no more complicated than registering with Facebook! (this link will also take you to the login screen once you are registered).
You will then need to enter your:
- Username (the name that will be displayed when you post messages)
- Email address
- Password
- Full name, gender and date of birth
- Confirmation code (you just need to answer a simple sum)
- Agree to the terms and click SUBMIT
Then you will be able to login with your username and password
You will then start at the Board Index, which is the main screen. From here, there is only one category to choose called Internet Use, and the first forum is called Internet Rules (click on this). The first topic to get you started is Specific Internet Rules, click on this to answer the first question which is ‘Does anyone have any specific Internet rules in place, and do these work?’
Write as much as you want to, reply to other members posts, and feel free to create new topics, as long as they are about your children’s Internet use! We will monitor what goes on, and add topics from time to time, and try to keep the discussion moving.
The forum will probably run until the end of August, so use the link above to go back in at any time between now and then
Thanks, and have fun!
