ChildWise research in education includes input to development and evaluation of resources -
For use in school and at home - Internet, computer, TV, print - Primary and secondary CLIENTS / CASE STUDIES – EDUCATION Farming and Countryside Education (FACE) – qualitative and quantitative research to explore and track young people’s attitudes towards food, farming and the countryside, to contribute to the development of effective resource materials for use in schools, and countryside visits. East Midlands Museums – research with teachers to understand requirements of museums, in class and in the wider context of school visits, including the impact of practical aspects such as finance, transport and risk assessment. Filmstreet – working with First Light and Atticmedia in the development of the 'Filmstreet' website for 6-9 year olds. To find out more about this website research programme, please click here. Culture Online – evaluating children’s response to new sites including Headline History and Artisancam, using paired depth interviews in school, including observation Institution of Engineering and Technology (formerly Institution for Electrical Engineers) – Flipside is an innovative and inspiring publication for young people, designed to encourage an interest in science by presenting this in relation to topics of teen interest – music, film, celebrities, sport and everyday life. ChildWise carried out a programme of research to assist with the development and promotion of the magazine, talking to teens, parents and teachers. |
